We have to remember that when Blaine is looking through Kurt’s phone, he doesn’t know about Chandler. He’s suspected that something is going on. But he doesn’t know anything about this kid until that very moment.
He doesn’t know how long Kurt’s been seeing him or why the hell he’s talking about New York like they’re going there together. Because Blaine and Kurt are going to New York. Together. Well, eventually, at least. Or that’s what Blaine thought.
He thought Kurt wasreplacinghim. He thought this kid was to Kurt what Kurt is to him.
And let’s think about it further, shall we? Blaine has been pulling away for a while now, to train himself how to live without Kurt, which is indirectly the cause of why Kurt is at all interested in this kid in the first place. And we all know that Blaine Anderson is exactly the kind of person to blame himself for something like this.
And that’s when he gets that look on his face. That look on his face that says:
Why am I never good enough for anyone?
Why am I such a disappointment?
Why am I such a failure?
